F.A.Q. about life and work in the Netherlands
Before you decide to go to the Netherlands we advice you to read more information about work and live conditions in the Netherlands. These are the most frequently asked questions from our candidates.
1. Who can work in the Netherlands?
People who are at least 18 years old and have the EU nationality (not residence card). If a candidate is not from the European Union, we cannot proceed with the employment procedure.
2. Is English language needed?
Yes. All communication is in English. You should speak at least A2-B1 level.
3. Who pays for the travel to the Netherlands?
Companies do not cover travel costs. A candidate is responsible for planning the arrival to the Netherlands.
4. To which city should I go?
If you go by plane, then we recommend to fly to Eindhoven. We will try to organize a driver fow you who will pick you up at the airport.
5. What documents do I need?
You need to have a valid ID card or passport, bank account.
6. Are all jobs are legal?
100% yes. You will get BSN number, health insurance and you will pay taxes to the state as every ordinary Dutch citizen.
7. Where will I live?
The company will organize you a room. You do not need to search unless you want to find your own. However, in the Netherlands it is very difficult to find accommodation. Normally all employees live in a double room at the beginning. The house can be located from 1 to 20 KM from your work. The room rent is automatically deducted from your salary.
8. Will I get transport?
The traditional transport is a bicycle. The company will provided it. If you live further, then you will use company's car.
9. How is salary paid?
Your hourly wage can vary depending on company. However, you will be paid according to the number of hours your work. Also please note that people who are 18-20 years old accordin to the Dutch law earn less. Salary is transfered to your bank account. No cash.

10. Can I work with a friend?
Yes. Just inform us in advance.
11. How long can I stay in the Netherlands?
We hope that you will work for at least 6 months. You may stay longer if you want.
